Where Sunflower Grow: a benefit concert for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine

City Lyric Opera and composer/pianist Felix Jarrar are proud to present 'Where Sunflowers Grow' on March 25th at Christ and St. Stephen's Church.⁠

This concert is a fundraiser for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine; All proceeds raised from the benefit will go to support Ukraine in humanitarian relief, recovery, and peace-building efforts. Felix will be joined at the piano by soprano Natalie Poltio, mezzo-soprano Rebecca Sacks, tenor Joshua Collier, and bass-baritone Timothy Madden for a concert that features beloved works from the standard operatic and art song repertoire, Ukrainian music, and music by Felix Jarrar and his frequent collaborator, Bea Goodwin.⁠

Proceeds will go to Nova Ukraine, a non-profit dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine. In the time of war, we are doubling down our humanitarian efforts through medical care, food, clothing, and refugee assistance. For more information go to https://novaukraine.org/

If you cannot give monetarily, we are also accepting donations of the following items which will be donated to humanitarian relief organized by Veselka NYC:

- First-aid kits
- Band-aids/gauze for wounds
- Elastic bandages and regular bandages
- Occlusive dressing (for wounds)
- Betadine

- Quick meals
- Energy bars
- Small canned foods that can be easily opened
- Individually packed nuts or cookies

- Cotton socks (New)
- Men's underwear and t-shirts (New)
- Men's heavy-duty gloves (New)

- Adult size sleeping bag (dark color)
- Camping sleeping pad
